Software Engineer

Job description
  • Work with the Product and Engineering teams to find the best technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of problems and research solutions with teammates' help.
  • Communicate effectively to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Develop pixel perfect designs as per the Design team's indications.
  • Create simple, clear, functioning, and testable code.
  • Learn different parts of Edpuzzle’s software and understand its purpose.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
  • Experience writing well-tested JavaScript code.
  • Full Stack Developer experience with a frontend framework (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.) and Node.js.
  • If not Full Stack, a strong background in frontend or backend development.
  • Experience with testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to any audience.
  • Pragmatic understanding of technology as a tool for product problem-solving.
  • User-focused decision-making regarding technology choices.
  • Able to see the bigger picture and identify improvement needs.
  • Independent work capability with effective time management.
  • Fluency in spoken Spanish and written English.
  • Based in Spain with a valid work permit.
